Come and explore over 50 works of contemporary sculpture from top and emerging New Zealand sculptors in the beautiful Civic Gardens opposite The Dowse Art Museum.
Over the last decade, Banks Shoes shapeshifter has grown to be the cornerstone visual arts event of the New Zealand International Arts Festival and one of the country’s premier outdoor sculpture exhibitions.
Guaranteed to delight visitors of any age, you’re welcome to pack a picnic and bring the family. You can also join one of the free expert guided tours at 2pm every Sunday, or enjoy the special night lighting every Thursday night till 10pm.
All works are for sale, and all proceeds go to charity. Watch out for the Daily Display in the Tutukiwi Gallery: an exciting opportunity to grab an art bargain as shapeshifter artists offer other works for sale.
A fundraising initiative of The Rotary Club of Hutt City, shapeshifter benefits Te Omanga Hospice, the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute, The Dowse Foundation and youth programmes in the Hutt Valley.
